Job Description:

Location: Support Office, Doncaster

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday

The Opportunity

The Junior Conveyancer will report directly to the Legal Manager and will be responsible for managing a busy caseload of plot sale matters from file opening to completion, ensuring timely delivery in line with company objectives. You will also support on part exchange purchases and associated re-sales.

As the Junior Conveyancer, you will generate reports from our internal case management system and liaise closely with our sales team to achieve plot sales on time.

The successful candidate will have some experience in conveyancing and new build, with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Preparing documentation for each transaction, including contract packs, dealing with enquiries, and preparing completion statements.
  • Taking instructions from internal clients and acting accordingly.
  • Delegated supervisory responsibilities to administration and progression teams as needed.
  • Maintaining knowledge and skills.
  • Liaising with the sales team on progression to achieve exchanges.
  • Registering part exchange purchases.
  • Building relationships and supporting the site team, visiting site once a month to share knowledge of the legal process.
  • Supporting other teams with plot sale information.
  • Preparing updates for Monday sales/build forecasting meetings.
  • Serving notice on upcoming completions to ensure timely processes.
  • Supporting innovation within the department for efficiency.
  • Assisting with stamp duty requirements.
  • Supporting admin tasks during busy periods or holiday cover.
  • Keeping up to date with CPD through courses.
