Qualifications

Summary of Role:

We seek enthusiastic graduate engineers to join our Energy team, focusing on software design, development, and implementation for PLC/IED control and SCADA Operational Technology Systems. The role involves working on all project lifecycle aspects for PLC/IED and SCADA/DCS systems in renewable power, storage, transmission, and distribution. Projects include upgrades, modifications, and new builds. Training will be provided. This role is ideal for graduates seeking a career in control system automation software.

  • University Degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) in Control Systems, Computer Systems, Electronic Engineering, or similar
  • Coding experience in at least one high-level language (e.g., C, VB, C#, Java)
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
  • Interest in operating systems, virtualization, and networking
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience with PLC software per IEC61131 standards using ladder, function block, sequential function chart, or structured text
  • Experience with SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of communication protocols
  • Experience with virtualization tools like VMWare or HyperV
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and domain configuration
  • Experience configuring network switches and firewalls
  • Experience with simulation software such as SIMIT, PICS, or WinMOD
  • Full UK Driving License

  • Confident, capable, and able to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
