Qualifications

Summary of Role:

We seek enthusiastic graduate engineers to join our Energy team. The role involves software design, development, and implementation for PLC/IED control and SCADA Operational Technology Systems. The successful candidates will work on all project lifecycle aspects for PLC/IED and SCADA/DCS systems in renewable energy sectors, including upgrades, modifications, and new projects. Training will be provided. This role is ideal for graduates aiming for a career in control system automation software.

• University Degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) in Control Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar
• Coding experience in at least one high-level language (e.g., C, VB, C#, Java)
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
• Interest or understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and networking
• Willingness to travel and work away when required
• Experience with PLC software to IEC61131 standards using ladder, function block, sequential function chart, or structured text
• Experience with SCADA systems
• Experience with communication protocols
• Experience with virtualization using VMWare or HyperV
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Domain Configuration
• Experience with Network Switch and Firewall Configuration
• Experience with simulation software such as SIMIT, PICS, WinMOD
• Full UK Driving Licence

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good verbal and written communication skills
