Summary of Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic graduate engineers to join our Energy team to perform software design, development, and implementation for PLC/IED-based control and/or SCADA Operational Technology Systems. The role involves working on all project lifecycle aspects for PLC/IED and SCADA/DCS systems in renewable power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution industries. Projects include system upgrades, modifications, and new builds. Training will be provided as needed. This role is ideal for graduates seeking a career in control system automation software.

• University Degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) in Control Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar
• Coding experience in at least one high-level language (e.g., C, VB, C#, Java)
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
• Interest or understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and networking
• Willingness to travel and work away when required
• Experience with PLC software using IEC61131 standards, ladder, function block, sequential function chart, and structured text
• Experience with SCADA systems
• Experience with communication protocols
• Experience with virtualization using VMWare or HyperV
• Experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and domain configuration
• Experience with network switch and firewall configuration
• Experience with simulation software like SIMIT, PICS, WinMOD
• Full UK driving license

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good verbal and written communication skills
