Summary of Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic graduate engineers to join our Energy team to perform software design, development, and implementation for PLC/IED-based control and/or SCADA Operational Technology Systems. The role involves working on all project lifecycle aspects for the delivery of PLC/IED and SCADA/DCS systems in renewable power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution industries. Projects include upgrades, modifications, and new builds. Training will be provided as needed. This role is suitable for graduates seeking a career in control system automation software.

  • University Degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) in Control Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar
  • Coding experience in at least one high-level language (e.g., C, VB, C#, Java)
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming techniques
  • Interest or understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and networking
  • Willingness to travel and work away when required
  • Experience with PLC software to IEC61131 standard using ladder, function block diagram, sequential function chart, and structured text
  • Experience with SCADA systems
  • Experience with communication protocols
  • Experience with virtualization using VMWare or HyperV
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and domain configuration
  • Experience with network switch and firewall configuration
  • Experience with simulation software like SIMIT, PICS, WinMOD
  • Full UK driving license
