Job summary

Deloitte London is recruiting a Data Consultant for a 6-month contract, with strong potential to convert to permanent. The role covers data modelling, data management, analytics, and solution delivery across client engagements.

You will prototype and deploy data-driven solutions, perform systems analysis, and contribute to governance and quality standards. Ideal candidates bring experience with SQL, Python, Spark/Hadoop, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing, and can communicate complex concepts clearly

Responsibilities

• Solution Development: prototype or develop technical solutions using low-code/no-code, robotic process automation or traditional programming languages.
• Systems Analysis: review existing systems and support future designs, including data models and interface specifications.
• Solution Deployment, Testing & Support: configuration, deployment and ongoing support with testing.
• Requirements & Analysis: gather and document business requirements, map processes and draft BRDs/user stories.
• Technical RequirementsDefinition: create high/mid-level technical specs to meet business needs.
• Data & Reporting: collect, analyse and interpret data; prepare reports and dashboards.

DMS Digital Data Consultant provide a range oftechnical and business capabilities to DMS Digital and other engagements. These capabilities include solutiondevelopment, data analysis, business analysis, systems analysis, qualityassurance and documentation depending on the requirements of the individualproject or engagement. Often seconded toDMS engagements, DMS Digital Developer/Technical Analysts quickly fillcapability gaps for those engagements providing whatever support is required toensure the on-time, on-cost and on-quality delivery of the engagement’soutcomes. DMS DigitalDeveloper/Technical Analysts bring their broad range of technical knowledge andanalytical skills to quickly provide value to unique or unfamiliar projects.

Solution Development

Responsible for the prototypingor development of technical solutions using low-code/no-code, robotic processautomation or traditional programming languages. This may include the need to quickly learn anew technology and combine that new knowledge with solid technical bestpractice to create a demonstration, minimum viable product or fullproduction-ready solution.

Systems Analysis

Reviewing existing systems (“as ‑ is”)and supporting the design of future technical solutions (“to ‑ be”)including the creation of system diagrams, data models, interfacespecifications, and logic flows. Thismay also include the identification of risks, dependencies, and impacts ofsystem changes.

Solution Deployment, Testing& Support

Contribute to the configuration,deployment and ongoing support of technology solutions in collaboration withteam members and client stakeholders. This may include the design, execution and reporting of unit, functionaland acceptance testing.

Requirements & Analysis

Gathering and documentingbusiness requirements through meetings, workshops, and documentationreview. Analyse current “as-is” businessprocesses seeking out opportunities for improvement and the introduction oftechnologies such as Robotic Process Automation, low-code solutions andAi. Draft or contribute to future“to-be” process designs and the creation of business requirements documents,user stories, process maps, process definitions documents and flow diagrams. Validate requirements with stakeholders toensure accuracy and clarity.

Technical RequirementsDefinition

Based on business requirementscreate high or mid-level technical specifications to enable the development oftechnology solutions to meet business needs. This may include the design of non-human process flows or the creationof a system specifications. Work willinclude ensuring that business requirements can feasibly be met by technologyand also making high-level recommendations about the most appropriatetechnology or technical approach.

Data & Reporting

Collect, analyse, and interpretbusiness, performance and other data as an input to process design or otherworkstreams. Assist with preparingreports, dashboards, or presentations for decision-making. Identify trends,risks, or opportunities that can be used to generate proposals or approaches.

Support or lead on thedevelopment of data governance, security, or confidentiality process orstandards. This may later include workon monitoring compliance or data quality while flagging any issues oromissions.

Principles and Standards

Contributing to the ongoing development and review ofprinciples and standards applicable to technical activities in DMS Digital.

Best Practice

Contributing to the ongoingdevelopment and review of best practice guidance and instruction across all business,technical and support activities undertaken within DMS Digital orother engagements. This activityto be undertaken in collaboration with colleagues across Deloitte and in linewith general industry recommendations.

Internal Relationships
