Job summary

Morgan Stanley’s Fixed Income Division is seeking a Junior Commodities Options Trader in London, with an Associate/VP level depending on experience. This role involves sourcing liquidity, pricing option structures, and supporting daily P&L and risk management in a fast-paced commodity options desk.

You will work closely with the options book runner, commodity trading teams, and sales to develop trading views and implement strategies amid evolving market conditions.

Qualifications

• A highly quantitative candidate with options trading experience, preferably in commodities.
• Knowledge of options theory and commodity markets.
• Proven experience in managing PnL and risk.
• Hard-working, entrepreneurial, and capable of generating ideas in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Source liquidity in commodity options markets to respond to client requests.
• Price and manage options portfolios using option pricing and greeks.
• Assist the options book runner with P&L reconciliation and reporting.
• Collaborate with the commodities sales and trading teams to share market views.
• Monitor market trends and macro data to inform trading strategies.
