Collateral Operations Analyst – 6 to 9 Month FTC - Junior role, ideal for Graduates

Location: Belfast

Salary: £38,000 per annum

Contract: Fixed Term, initially 6 months with potential extension to 9 months

A leading financial institution is looking for a Collateral Operations Analyst to join their Prime Services division, providing maternity cover for a minimum of 6 months. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in financial markets to work in a client-facing operations role in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate distribution of client margin statements
• Investigating and resolving margin deficits and related queries
• Daily interaction with hedge fund clients and internal stakeholders
• Reconciliation of collateral balances and resolution of breaks
• Supporting the wider team with operational and regulatory requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• A finance graduate or someone with relevant experience seeking their next step in operations
• Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients
• Basic understanding of trading products (e.g., equities, derivatives)
• Knowledge of hedge funds and awareness of different strategies
• Good understanding of the regulatory landscape in financial markets
• Organised and proactive, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
