Job summary

ITV plc is seeking a Junior Software Engineer in a hybrid London or Leeds role on a 1-year fixed-term contract. You will work on cloud infrastructure, serverless components (AWS Lambdas), and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating with seasoned engineers to deliver reliable services and updated Scala-based products.

You will write IaC with Terraform, manage AWS resources, and contribute to deployment pipelines, code replication, and enhancements across CST's content supply chain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial software or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience with Terraform and AWS (Lambdas, IAM, ECS, S3).
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Scala or JVM languages in a commercial environment.
• Ability to read, edit and navigate Scala/JVM code in an IDE.

Responsibilities

• Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision AWS resources.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for continuous delivery.
• Replicate, adapt and deploy microservices and serverless components across supply chain products.
• Troubleshoot production issues using Grafana/Prometheus and other observability tools.
• Work inside existing Scala/JVM codebases to update and integrate services with senior engineers.
• Collaborate with the team via pair programming and Agile practices.
