Junior Clinical Fellow in Neonatology (ST2-3 equivalent)

Junior Clinical Fellow (ST2-3, Speciality Trainee Level 2/3 Equivalent) in Neonatal Paediatrics from September 2025

Please note, this is a fixed-term position for a minimum of 6 months, with the potential to be extended up to a maximum of two years.

This is a clinical post but the post holder will be given ample time to develop an interest in education, simulation or research within the units existing projects.

Main duties of the job

The unit is a Level 3 intensive care unit and is one of the largest in London caring for both medical and surgical neonates. There are 12 intensive care, 9 high dependency and 15 special care cots. Training will be given in all aspects of neonatal care and there is opportunity to attend several combined clinical meetings with other departments. The post holder joins a total of 9 middle grades on a EWTD compliant full shift rota.

About us

The Neonatal Unit is the Network centre for South West London and at present provides 12 intensive care cots, 9 high dependency and 15 special care cots. The Unit is adjacent to the labour wards and is in the same block as the postnatal wards, the Children's wards and the Department of Child Health.
