  • Attend relevant external courses or postgraduate certification as funded by the post.

Junior Clinical Fellow in the department of Emergency Medicine We are inviting applications to fill our Junior Clinical Fellow (Pre Hospital) vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Department of Emergency Medicine Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice by the intended start date. The post holders will be working at 80/20 clinical to non-clinical split of total contracted time. There will be funding available for attending relevant external courses or Post graduation Certification. The posts are offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months in the first instance. The Leeds Emergency Medicine Departments offer 12-month Clinical Fellowships designed to provide individually tailored experience and training for those who want to develop a special interest in specific areas of Emergency Medicine.

Fellowship posts are available from December 2026 onwards. We have been running a very successful programme with non- clinical roles already in ultrasound, research and quality improvement, ambulatory care medicine, post-graduate and undergraduate education, simulation and emergency care with elderly medicine.

What you will bring to the role

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

Be eligible for full registration with, and hold a current licence to practise from, the GMC at intended start date

Eligibility to work in the UK.

Advanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent (as required to complete Foundation competences) by intended start date

Is up to date and fit to practise safely and is aware of own training needs.

All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues demonstrated by one of the following:

That applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English or academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) results showing a score of at least 7.5 in each domain (speaking, listening, reading, writing),with an overall score of at least 7.5, to be achieved in a single sitting and within 24 months of the time of application.
