The posts are full-time, based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich site (QEH), one of the main hospital sites of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT). Successful applicants can choose to work either as fixed term (4-12 months) or substantively. Candidates will work in 4-month blocks and can express a preference for departments across the divisions of Acute, Emergency, and Specialist Medicine. While we will try to accommodate specialty requests, it cannot be guaranteed.

There is an option for some posts to be 80:20 clinical to educational or 80:20 clinical to managerial, to allow time for undergraduate education or management development, respectively. This can be discussed at interview.

The successful candidate can work in various medical specialties depending on their needs and departmental demands. Participation in the general medical on-call rota is optional. We can provide experience in frailty, respiratory, neurology, diabetes and endocrine, acute medicine, or general medicine. All posts are supervised by a specialist consultant, and regular teaching sessions are available for attendance.
