Job summary

St Edward's School in Oxford is seeking a Junior Chef de Partie to join its catering team in a busy, high-quality kitchen serving pupils, staff and visitors.

You will assist in menu prep, production and presentation, help with stock control, food safety and ensure consistent high standards, with opportunities to lead shifts occasionally.

Join a team that delivers around 2,000 meals daily across meals and events, including balls, weddings, and summer programs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience.
• Experience producing food for large numbers in a high-volume catering environment.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, HACCP, allergen management and health and safety.
• Organised, reliable and positive in a team-based kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, production and delivery of menus.
• Support day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Assist with stock rotation, food safety, hygiene and waste management.
• Occasionally act as shift leader.
