Job summary

A leading company in civil and structural design is seeking a Junior CAD Technician to support their busy drawing office. In this role, you will produce detailed drawings in AutoCAD, following client specifications and delivering compliant solutions. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of detailing for steel and concrete structures and be willing to engage in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience of detailing steel, concrete, and reinforced concrete is desirable.
• Ability to follow client requirements and produce compliant designs.

Responsibilities

About us:

RCL specialise in the civil and structural design of electricity substation asset build and refurbishment, and are involved in projects ranging from new build to modifications of existing sites from concept to completion. We also produce design and detailing works for various other sectors and clients involving a variety of schemes from steel framed structures, foundations, infrastructure, and works within the water treatment industry. Our wide range of clients ensures a consistent workload on a variety of interesting and sometimes complex projects.

We are seeking a Junior CAD Technician to join our team to support our busy drawing office. Experience of detailing steel, concrete, and reinforced concrete with knowledge of buildings and general detailing is desirable.

The role would involve:

• Production of accurate and detailed drawings in AutoCAD
• Follow client requirements and specifications to deliver compliant design solutions within the agreed timeframe, costs, and quality standards
• Produce specifications, schedules, and other documentation in accordance with requirements

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• Knowledge of AutoCAD software, ideally detailing steel, concrete, & reinforced concrete
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions
• Utilizes appropriate technology in the development and delivery of work
• Willingness to attend training and develop relevant skills, knowledge, and experience
