Job summary

First Recruitment Services Ltd. is seeking a Junior CAD Engineer for the East Grinstead team. This full-time hybrid role offers 1 day per week from home and 4 days at the office, 37.5 hours per week.

You will use AutoCAD to produce technical drawings, perform heat loss/gain calculations for CAT A/B projects, and prepare technical submissions while supporting clients and liaising with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical Engineering (degree or equivalent).
• Strong AutoCAD skills (or similar CAD software).
• Excellent numerical and analytical ability.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Exposure to IES or similar building modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Producing technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD
• Completing heat loss and gain calculations (CAT A & CAT B projects)
• Supporting pre-sales activities and compiling technical submissions for quotations
• Assisting with technical documentation, specifications and data sheets
• Providing technical support to clients via email and telephone
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of projects
• Supporting client communications and managing expectations on technical queries
• General document / drawing administration support
