Ground Control is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our Professional Services team in a hybrid position (Manchester or Billericay). You will produce detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings, support landscape, infrastructure and EV charging projects, and help develop company-wide CAD standards.

The role emphasizes quality, collaboration and career development. You will contribute to delivering high-quality design packages across the UK, mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with HSQE

Qualifications

• 5+ years' CAD Technician experience in landscape, civil engineering, infrastructure or related design.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience producing accurate and detailed technical drawing packages.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of CAD standards and industry practices.
• Ability to manage workloads and prioritise multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality 2D AutoCAD drawings and design packages to industry standards.
• Support EV charging and infrastructure design projects.
• Develop and implement enhanced AutoCAD standards and protocols across the business.
• Ensure outputs are accurate, compliant and aligned with Ground Control standards.
• Present design information and technical data following company procedures.
• Deliver drawing packages in line with project programmes and client requirements.
• Collaborate with Landscape Architects, Arboriculturists, EV specialists & external consultants.
• Review drawings to ensure quality and consistency.
• Mentor junior CAD Technicians as appropriate.
• Ensure work adheres to HSQE policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the design team.
