Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior Buyer to support the Materials team with indirect purchasing. This entry-level role focuses on implementing a compliant purchasing process, building supplier relationships, and ensuring system accuracy through ERP usage.

You will raise purchase orders, monitor deliveries, resolve invoice queries, and participate in lean initiatives. The role offers global project exposure and growth within a collaborative, values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems.
• Experience with lean and continuous improvement is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Raise and issue indirect purchase orders per policy.
• Obtain order confirmations and update purchase orders.
• Monitor open POs, ensure on-time delivery; communicate delays.
• Coordinate supplier collections with approved logistics partners.
• Ensure timely and accurate goods receipts.
• Investigate and resolve invoice queries.
• Maintain supplier relationships; first point of contact.
• Collaborate with internal departments; use ERP system for standard work.
• Participate in Lean, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide general admin support to the materials department.
