DUSK is seeking a Junior Buyer to join our Leeds team. You will help source and select ranges, drive KPIs, and support trading decisions with weekly sales insights.

You will grow product knowledge, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to a dynamic home and lifestyle brand with strong online presence. This role combines hands-on buying with strategic input, in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial understanding and some experience in managing departmental budgets, along with ownership for buying at least one range.
• Passion for product and being able to develop new products regularly, with an understanding of how specifications can impact quality, lead times and cost prices.
• Customer-focussed, with a genuine interest in the customer journey and able to put forward ideas on how to improve this.
• Strong communication skills and negotiation skills, and able to adapt their style of communication and/or negotiation, depending on the situation.
• Able to confidently present in trade and sign-off meetings, in a clear and engaging way.
• At least one years’ experience as an Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer
• Familiar with industry terms and systems (incoterms, WGSN)

Responsabilités

• Sourcing and selecting a range, ensuring KPIs such as sales budget, margin and stock cover are delivered.
• Trade category using weekly reports and trade meetings to guide decisions.
• Manage day-to-day running of product area; action trade initiatives and minimise risk while capitalising on opportunities.
• React to competitor activity and price changes; benchmark and identify new product opportunities.
• Collaborate with Merchandising & Buying to lead department strategy aligned with data and seasonal trends.
• Maintain relationships with Sourcing, Marketing, Ecommerce, Creative, QC, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance and others.
• Lead supplier relationships and supplier SWOT analysis focusing on capacity, MOQs, ROS, pricing and lead times.
• Oversee department Critical Path from product development to launch; mitigate supply/delivery risks.
• Oversee OTB with merchandiser; sign off products with Senior Management and speed to market.
• Attend supplier meetings and trade shows; identify gaps in supply base.
• Develop direct report(s) through 1-1s and performance reviews.
