This role is responsible for overseeing the design and licensing of all characters and designs sold at The Very Group. You will collaborate with external brands and licensees to create exceptional product ranges, managing the entire design and purchasing process for licensed clothing and footwear for both children and adults.

• Own the Character & License category within Kidswear.
• Manage strategic brand relationships with excellent stakeholder skills.
• Analyze current market propositions, growth opportunities, competitors, and consumer trends.
• Develop strategic roadmaps translating into actionable plans for 6-24 months.
• Represent The Very Group in supplier meetings and decisions.
• Align strategy with wider category priorities to maximize growth opportunities.
• Coach and develop direct reports, fostering career growth and performance.

About You

• Strong understanding of current market trends to ensure relevant, competitive product ranges.
• Experience working within the character and licensing sector.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, focusing on business, team, and customer needs.
