GBR Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for a Junior Buyer on a 3 months fixed term contract in Lincoln. You will ensure product availability for pre-season and ongoing stock, and work with the buying team to secure best price, lead times, quality and delivery costs.

Key duties include planning purchasing requirements, preventing stock outs, placing timely orders, liaising with suppliers on delivery dates, and coordinating with Goods In and the warehouse to maintain smooth stock flow.

Formación

• Experience in a buying, purchasing or procurement role (junior level).
• Familiarity with a diverse range of products, parts, components and tooling.
• Available immediately for a 3-month fixed-term contract.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor overstock and explore restocking options with suppliers.
• Introduce new products and keep systems up to date on progress.
• Ensure smooth product flow, considering space and booking in time.
• Book deliveries and liaise with Goods In on delivery issues.
• Coordinate with the warehouse on stock issues.

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working exclusively with a leading Lincolnshire specialist parts, components & tooling distributor (direct to the customer) recruiting for a Junior Buyer (3 months fixed term contract).

As a Junior Buyer you will ensure the availability of allocated product ranges for both pre-season & ongoing stock requirements, ensuring stock availability will meet customer demand.

Duties:

• Working closely with the wider buying team, you will aim to purchase products at reduced costs / best price, best lead times, best quality & at acceptable delivery costs.
• Efficiently plan & prioritise purchasing requirements
• Prevent stock outs by forward planning, chasing low stock products & the possibility of alternative supply.
• Place timely orders with suppliers by considering the most efficient balance between quantity, price & delivery costs.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery dates, ensuring they are aware of priority purchase orders & that all products are received inbound OTIF.
• Monitor products that are overstocked & explore possible avenues to reduce it such as restocking at suppliers.
• Monitor new products & introduce any assigned products as soon as possible, keeping the system up to date on the progress.
• Ensure product flow is as smooth as possible, considering factors such as space & booking in time.
• Book in deliveries & liaise with Goods In on delivery issues.
• Liaise with the warehouse regarding any stock issues.

Attributes:

• Experience in a buying, purchasing or procurement role in a junior capacity or other
• Used to purchasing a diverse array of products, parts, components, tooling, machinery, auxiliaries etc
• Previous experience within a wholesaler or direct supplier distributor business would be ideal
• Available immediately & happy to work on a 3 months fixed term
