Job Outline:

The Junior Buyer is responsible for placing purchase orders with suppliers to fulfill customer orders and maintain stock levels of top-selling devices. This role involves sourcing and negotiating the best market prices, ensuring timely delivery at optimal costs, and resolving order discrepancies promptly to meet delivery commitments while minimizing inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Place daily purchase orders using the Inventory Management System (IMS)
• Secure necessary paperwork and credit lines for high-value or customer-specific products
• Review and authorize customer order changes and cancellations
• Manage supplier purchase orders, reschedules, and cancellations
• Resolve order price discrepancies with marketing and suppliers
• Address receiving discrepancies with the Distribution Centre and Product Marketing
• Act as the first point of contact for production line downtime resolution
• Collaborate with sales, product marketing, and suppliers to reduce slow-moving inventory

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous purchasing experience is preferred but not essential
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and proactive skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to identify process flaws and implement improvements
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Flexibility and adaptability to different needs and situations
