Job summary

Information Tech Consultants seeks a junior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team and help automate, deploy, and monitor cloud-native applications on AWS.

You will collaborate with development and operations to implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and robust monitoring, while building hands-on knowledge of AWS services and container platforms. The role emphasizes scripting, documentation, and on-call support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience or completion of a relevant course/bootcamp.
• Basic to intermediate scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provisioning, management, and maintenance of core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild.
• Write automation scripts to reduce manual tasks.
• Work with IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation) to provision resources.
• Monitor and log systems using CloudWatch and other tools; ensure health and performance.
• Assist with containerization using Docker; basic familiarity with Kubernetes or ECS/EKS.
• Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshoot deployment issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
