Job summary

SER Limited in London is seeking a Junior AV Technician to assist in the installation of photo booths, immersive experiences and interactive installations for high-profile brands, events and experiential activations.

The role is predominantly site-based (80%), with the remaining 20% spent in the warehouse preparing, testing and maintaining equipment. You will work with an experienced technical team and have opportunities to develop your technical skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AV experience or related technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, setup and dismantling of AV equipment for events.
• Install and configure photo booths, cameras, displays and touchscreens.
• Support specialist equipment including robotic cameras and video capture tech.
• Troubleshoot issues during installations and events.
• Ensure safe, correct on-site installation of equipment.
• Prepare, test and configure equipment before deployment.
• Assist with warehouse checks, stock organisation and maintenance.
• Load, unload and transport equipment to client sites.
• Work with senior technicians to ensure smooth events.
• Provide on-site support during events and activations.

The Role

The Junior AV Technician will be responsible for assisting in the installation of photo booths, immersive experiences and interactive installations for high-profile brands, events and experiential activations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a hands-on technical background who enjoys working on-site, installing equipment and getting involved in a variety of exciting projects.

The role is predominantly site-based (80%), with the remaining 20% spent in the warehouse preparing, testing and maintaining equipment.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced technical team, supporting everything from one-day corporate events to permanent interactive installations, with plenty of opportunities to develop your technical skills.

Duties

• Assist with the installation, setup and dismantling of AV equipment for events, immersive experiences and interactive installations.
• Install and configure photo booths, cameras, display screens, touchscreens and associated AV technology.
• Support the installation of specialist equipment, including robotic camera systems, video capture technology and interactive displays.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and resolve technical issues during installations and events.
• Work on-site to ensure equipment is installed safely, correctly and operating as expected.
• Assist with the preparation, testing and configuration of equipment before deployment.
• Support warehouse activities, including equipment checks, stock organisation and general maintenance.
• Load, unload and transport technical equipment to and from client sites.
• Work closely with senior technicians to ensure installations and events run smoothly.
• Provide on-site technical support during events and activations when required.

Requirements

• Some previous hands-on experience in AV, events technology, installations, electronics or a similar technical environment.
• A practical, technically minded approach with a willingness to learn new systems and equipment.
• Comfortable working with tools and carrying out physical installations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours where required.
• Full UK driving licence.
