Job summary

WWF-UK is offering a 12-month placement for a Junior AI Developer in Woking. You’ll explore how AI and automation can help colleagues across the organisation, turning ideas into practical prototypes and pilots using approved tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform and Azure AI services.

Work closely with our AI & Automation Lead, gain hands-on experience, test solutions, document how they work and ensure they are secure, accessible and responsible.

Qualifications

• Curious about AI and emerging technology, enjoys solving problems.
• Started building your technical knowledge and learning, eager to practice.
• Interested in AI, automation, software development or using technology to solve problems.
• Experience with coding or data, through study or projects.
• Basic understanding of software development, working with data, testing and version control.

Responsibilities

• Explore AI opportunities with WWF-UK colleagues to identify where AI or automation can help.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for prototypes and pilots.
• Build and test AI/automation solutions using approved tools.
• Test solutions, gather feedback, and implement improvements.
• Document how solutions work and how to use them.
• Share learnings and reusable resources with the team.
