Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Junior Agricultural Engineer near Swanland, East Riding of Yorkshire. The role involves servicing and repairing agricultural machinery, with travel to customer sites and on-site diagnostics.

You will work on tractors, combines and related equipment, gaining hands-on experience and pursuing a Level 3 Land Based Engineering Qualification through extensive training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with hydraulics alongside mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience within agricultural, automotive, material handling or mechanical engineering environments.
• Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair and servicing.
• Experience working with engines and batteries.
• An NVQ, City & Guilds or similar qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A genuine interest in developing a long‑term career within agricultural engineering.
• A willingness to learn, undertake training and develop your technical skillset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults, servicing machinery and carrying out emergency breakdown repairs.
• Working on agricultural machinery including tractors, combines, balers and other equipment.
• Travelling to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Working on engines, batteries and hydraulic systems.
• Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Working independently at customer sites while maintaining close communication with colleagues.
• Completing relevant documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Liaising directly with customers to diagnose faults and identify effective solutions.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with customer expectations.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Overtime: 1.5× Monday-Saturday | 2× Sundays & Bank Holidays

The Role
