Job summary

McLaren Racing in the United Kingdom seeks a Junior Aero Design Engineer to join the Aero Design team, assisting in the design and development of race car aerodynamic surfaces and wind tunnel components to boost on-track performance.

You will work with aerodynamicists, CFD engineers, model makers and production teams to deliver high-quality design solutions, primarily in the factory with occasional travel and critical development support when needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline.
• Good working knowledge of 3D CAD and engineering drawing standards.
• Understanding of FIA regulations impact on race car development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Job Description

As a Junior Aero Design Engineer, you will play an important role within the Aero Design team, supporting the design and development of race car aerodynamic surfaces, wind tunnel model components and assemblies that contribute to on-track performance.

Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with aerodynamicists, CFD engineers, model makers, production specialists, wind tunnel technicians, R&D and vehicle engineering teams to deliver high-quality design solutions. This is a predominantly factory-based role with occasional travel requirements and the flexibility to support critical development activities when needed.
