The Role…
Reporting to the Head of Central Finance, you will be an integral part of the Central Finance team based in London. The Central Finance team at Soho House looks after a wide range of areas including central support, Cities Without Houses membership, intercompany and credit spend along with global capex, cashflow and financials for Soho House Group.
This position would be most suitable for candidates who are part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Management Reporting
Cities Without Houses & Soho Friends
- Global reporting of CWH and Friends memberships
- Analysis of monthly P&L variances and commentary
- Membership and cost accounting for CWH and Friends businesses
- Analysis of membership movements including intakes, leavers and frozen memberships
- Business partnering with the CWH team across UK, Europe, Africa, North America, LATAM and APAC
- Maintenance of intercompany schedules
- Compiling transactional ad hoc analysis
- Assist with compilation of forecast and budgets
Partnerships
- Finance lead on global partnerships, with revenue of $18m per year
- Analysis of monthly P&L variances and commentary
- Revenue and cost accounting for different aspects of partner contracts
- Business partnering Partnerships team globally
- Compiling detailed reporting on events and profitability
- Assist with compilation of forecast and budgets
Financial Control
- Implementing Group policies & procedures in line with Group guidelines
- Ensuring correct Group procedures are followed
- Review and reconciliation of VAT accounts for CWH
- Liaison with auditors
Required Skills
- Partially qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Commercially focused business partner
- High attention to detail, organised, able to manage own time and workload, demonstrate initiative
- Team player with hands-on, can-do attitude
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to work through problems logically and with perspective
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, interacting effectively at all levels in business
- Ability to get the best out of financial systems and demonstrable evidence of process improvement / re-engineering
- Strong problem solving ability
