Job summary

Allington Court Care Home in St Albans is seeking an Activity Coordinator (Bank) to create a vibrant, joy-filled atmosphere for residents. You’ll plan and run engaging events, from arts and crafts to book clubs, tailored to individual needs and preferences.

This role offers flexible bank shifts, a fully paid induction, a free meal on every shift, and DBS checked support to help you foster wellbeing, laughter and meaningful social connections at the home.

Qualifications

• Creative thinker with budgeting and paperwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Running morning and afternoon activity sessions.
• Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget.
• Organising birthday surprises for residents.
• Liaising with external companies and performers to organise days out/events at the home.
• Organising one-to-ones with residents, including reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading or a chat.
• Supporting the home with social media channels as required.
