Benfield Electric Inc. in Tipton, United Kingdom, seeks a qualified Journeyman Electrician to install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. You will diagnose issues, read blueprints, train apprentices, and ensure safety standards are met on site.

Requirements include a valid Journeyman license, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency with voltmeters, ohmmeters and meggers. Weekend availability may be needed based on project needs.

Formación

• Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Minimum 4 years in electrical field with installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NEC codes, safety standards, and blueprint reading.
• Proficient in using testing equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and megger.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble, install, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems using advanced testing equipment.
• Inspect systems to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs, ensuring code compliance.
• Plan layouts and installations based on blueprints and job specifications.
• Terminate wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
• Direct and train apprentices and other team members.
• Install ground bars and terminate power feeds to equipment such as motors.
• Conduct physically demanding tasks such as trenching and lifting heavy objects.
• Use various tools, including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and power equipment.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies.
