BBC Wales is recruiting a Journalist to join the Wales Today team in Cardiff. You will work across shifts, including weekends, producing bulletins and collaborating with reporters to bring stories to air.
This role offers opportunities to develop Welsh current affairs coverage for broadcast across platforms, within a close-knit newsroom environment.

CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract / Attachment, Full Time until March 2027

LOCATION: Cardiff
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £32,000 - £34,500 per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
We've got an exciting opportunity for a Journalist to join the Wales Today team in Cardiff. If you're keen to develop your TV skills and work on one of the most watched television programmes in Wales then we'd like to hear from you.
You will work towards producing some of our bulletins across a range of shifts, including weekends. You will also work with reporters and correspondents to bring their stories to air in an engaging and informative way. There will be opportunities to develop your own stories for broadcast across a range of platforms.
You will be joining a close-knit, supportive and professional team delivering news to a big audience 7 days a week from morning to late. It is a hugely rewarding and varied role.
You will have previous experience working in a busy newsroom and a genuine interest in and knowledge of Welsh news and current affairs.
