Job summary

SP Electricity North West invites applications for a Jointers Mate. You will operate in a two-person team on street furniture faults, service terminations and restoring supplies, including LV and HV cables.

You must have NRSWA accreditation, a full UK driving licence, and be willing to work outside in all weather. The role includes risk assessments, permits, and using various tools to access the network.

Qualifications

• Hold operational authorisations to act as a competent person.
• Hold a NRSWA accreditation and understanding of utility records.
• Full UK driving licence (essential) with B+E desirable.
• Be willing to work outdoors in all weather.
• Experience excavating, backfilling and reinstating to Highways Authorities.
• Able to communicate with customers and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Work in a two-person team on street furniture faults and service terminations.
• Restore supplies to multiple customers and repair HV cables.
• Carry out risk assessments and raise permits for jointing work.
• Use disc cutters, breakers and diggers safely to access network infrastructure.
