Job summary

LA International is seeking a SMO - Project Manager to lead high-stakes programmes across London, Belfast and Budapest. The role requires governance-led delivery, strong stakeholder engagement, and experience with divestments or carve-outs in confidential settings.

Hybrid working arrangement suggested, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. IR35 inside and a daily rate of £500. The assignment runs until 30 June 2027, with continuous programme leadership across multiple functions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading divestment, carve-out or joint venture programmes.
• Experience supporting major organisational change programmes across functions (sales, portfolio, operations, finance, HR, legal).
• Experience operating in confidential environments under NDA with strong governance and delivery focus.
• Strong project or programme management track record delivering complex programmes in fast-moving environments.
• Current project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
• Excellent governance, planning and delivery discipline with clear action plans.
• Strong commercial acumen including budget delivery experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing at multiple levels.

• Lead and manage large-scale project/programme delivery in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Mitigate risks, manage resources and budgets, and maintain programme governance.

Essential

• Experience leading divestment, carve-out or joint venture programmes
• Experience supporting major organisational change programmes across functions such as sales, portfolio, operations, finance, HR and legal.
• Experience operating in confidential or restricted environments, including under NDA, while maintaining pace, governance and delivery focus.
• Strong project or programme management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects in a fast-moving environment.
• Current project or programme management qualification from a recognised professional body, such as PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent.
• Excellent governance, planning and delivery discipline, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear plans and accountable actions.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing delivery against programme budgets.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage at multiple levels.
• Proven ability to resolve issues that could impact delivery, including risks relating to resources, budget, scope or stakeholders.
• Experience leading virtual, cross-functional teams and building collaborative, high-performing ways of working.

Desirable

• A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to simplify, challenge and improve how work gets delivered.
• Experience owning the implementation of PM methodology, change control and stage gating
