Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a motivated Production Operative for joinery manufacturing on a full-time, permanent basis. You will use a variety of tools and machinery to cut, shape, assemble and finish timber products from raw materials to finished goods.

The role suits candidates with manufacturing, fabrication or warehousing experience who are detail-focused and safety-minded. A proactive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, warehousing or a similar hands-on role.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• The ability to follow written instructions and work from technical drawings.
• Good time management, punctuality and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools and machinery to cut, shape, assemble and finish timber products.
• Work towards individual and team production targets, ensuring orders are completed on time.
• Read and follow production paperwork, labels, technical drawings and written instructions.
• Use electronic scanning systems to record production progress and update order statuses.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Identify and report faults, discrepancies and production issues, resolving minor issues where appropriate.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Carry out routine equipment checks, basic maintenance and regular cleaning.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support other team members when required.
• Contribute ideas to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
