Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talentwise in Milton Keynes is seeking a Joiner / Carpenter / Kitchen Fitter to overhaul passenger trains, using hands‑on assembly and fit‑out expertise.

You will work from engineering drawings, install interiors and passenger comfort equipment, and contribute to high‑quality finishes in a rail environment. Must hold a Full UK driving licence and be able to pass medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in joinery, carpentry, kitchen fitting or mechanical assembly.
• Background in vehicle building, coach building, carpentry, joinery, kitchen fitting.
• Experience with hand and power tooling.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the assembly and fit of mechanical components to rail vehicles.
• Install and fit interiors, flooring, seating, panels and all other passenger comfort and safety equipment.
• Must be able to work from engineering drawings and instruction.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll bring experience of Joinery or Carpentry or Kitchen Fitting or mechanical assembly or coach building or a manufacturing environment.

• A background from sectors such as Vehicle Building, coach building, carpentry, joinery, kitchen fitting
• Experience of using hand and power tooling
• Have a strong attention to detail and producing a high quality finish
• Able to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Confidence working rotating shifts, including earlies, lates,
