Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd seeks a Joiner in Derby for repairs, maintenance, renovations and installations within housing stock, schools and public buildings. The role includes 1st and 2nd fix joinery work and service on a rota for emergency repairs.

Ideally you will have experience in a social landlord environment, interpret drawings, liaise with management, and complete worksheets and records promptly. This is a full-time temporary contract with PAYE payments at £17.52 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in joinery repairs, maintenance and renovations.
• Ability to interpret detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Work with own initiative to resolve on-site technical difficulties, liaising with management as required.
• Maintain vehicle stock levels to support service efficiency.
• Operate within an appointment system and liaise with customers.
• Submit worksheets and documents for each job within required timescales.
• Contribute to accurate time, stock and materials records for each work order.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency joinery repairs on a rota.
• Work within the Homes multi-skilling agreement.

Responsibilities

• To undertake all joinery repairs, maintenance and renovations identified within the housing stock, schools and public buildings
• To carry out new joinery related installations (1st and 2nd fix)
• To interpret detailed design drawings and specifications
• By using your own initiative, resolve wherever practical any minor or routine technical difficulties on site, liaising with your management as required.
• To maintain vehicle stock levels at optimum level so that service efficiency is achieved.
• Work within an appointment system including liaising with customers
• To submit all worksheets and documents relating to job (electronically or by paper) within the required timescales.
• To effectively contribute to the provision of accurate records for time, SOR and materials to each work order, including the effective receipting of all material advice notes.
• Participate as a Joiner in the delivery of an effective out of hours emergency repair service on a rota system.
• To carry out tasks within the Homes multi-skilling agreement.
