Job summary

Aberdeen City Council is seeking an experienced Joiner to support the housing maintenance team in Aberdeen. You will carry out repairs and refurbishment work in void properties, helping to prepare homes to a high standard for new tenants.

The role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week with an immediate start. The pay rate is £17.86 per hour (PAYE inc.), reflecting local market rates for skilled joinery work.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in social housing / property maintenance.
• Ability to carry out first and second fix joinery work.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of joinery repairs within void domestic properties.
• Install and repair doors, frames, skirting boards, kitchens, etc.
• Undertake general maintenance and refurbishment works as required.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
• Identify additional repair needs and report them to supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment in line with health and safety.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure full time hours Monday to Friday. You will be working a standard 37 hour week with an immediate start available.

The hourly pay rate for this role is £17.86 (PAYE inc.)
