At Ground Control, we’re always on the lookout for exceptional people to join our growing Rail team. While we may not have an open role for a Site Manager right now, we know that great talent doesn’t wait — and neither do we.

That’s why we’ve created this Talent Pool for Site Managers with rail experience who are ready to step into future opportunities as they arise.

Typical responsibilities may include:

  • Coordinating multiple sites and supporting field teams with on-site and admin tasks
  • Using Word and Excel to produce documentation (task briefs, trackers, audit logs)
  • Planning access schedules and resourcing for planned works
  • Conducting site audits, inspections, and maintaining safety compliance
  • Supporting accurate scoping, pricing, and reporting for works
  • Liaising with clients and internal teams to keep projects moving

What we’ll be looking for:

  • Proven experience in Rail, with valid PTS and COSS certifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A confident self-starter with a focus on safety and compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively across site and office teams

Bonus points if you have:

  • SMSTS / IOSH / NEBOSH
  • First Aid at Work
  • FWC certification
  • Knowledge of arboriculture or vegetation management (or interest in learning!)
