The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through consistently remaining consumer focused.
They are accountable for achieving this by:
- Reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times
- Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service, and retail standards
- Contributing to efficiencies by adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines
- Understanding daily/weekly targets
- Ensuring personal awareness of all additional sales avenues, such as eventing, Omni, and digital channels
- Keeping up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities
- Effectively utilizing social media to leverage opportunities to drive the business and enhance the Brand image
- Delivering the Brand Strategy and local plans effectively
- Planning and implementing local marketing and events initiatives aligned with Retailer activity
- Ensuring excellent service standards, aiming for a zero consumer complaints culture and creating a surprise and delight experience
- Being an ambassador for the Brand, representing and bringing Brand values to life
- Managing refunds and complaints according to Company guidelines, involving the Area Manager when appropriate
- Using digital tools to stay informed and knowledgeable
- Developing strategies for consumer recruitment and retention to grow a loyal customer base
- Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge to deliver industry-leading experiences and meet consumer needs
- Ensuring standards in product presentation, housekeeping, displays, messaging, and pricing are maintained at all times
- Reviewing retail standards daily and ensuring compliance
- Managing deliveries, stock movements, and associated administration within set timeframes
- Fulfilling all administrative and auditable processes according to guidelines and addressing risks proactively
- Fulfilling information requests accurately and promptly
- Minimizing stock loss by following Security Policies and Procedures
- Creating and maintaining a safe environment for consumers, adhering to all policies and procedures
- Ensuring health & safety responsibilities are met and achieving at least an 'Acceptable' grade during audits
Commerciality
- Managing daily replenishment and taking appropriate actions
- Maximising sales performance using all available reports for decision-making
- Planning and delivering visual merchandising layouts according to guidelines and deadlines
- Identifying stock issues and taking corrective actions, involving the Area Manager when necessary
- Managing promotions and discounts in line with guidelines
- Identifying trends and suggesting improvements to enhance product performance
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or consumer-facing environment
- Ability to drive self-development
- Commercial understanding of the industry
- Effective communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
