Job summary

London South East Colleges seeks a dedicated Job Coach (SEND) to support learners with additional needs as they move into work and progress toward employment. This hands-on role works with learners and employers to prepare for work, support placements and build essential skills, confidence and independence.

The role is fixed-term until 7 July 2027, based in Bexley. The ideal candidate will have Level 2 Maths and English, SEND experience, strong communication, safeguarding awareness and the

Qualifications

• Level 2 Maths and English or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience supporting learners or young people, ideally in a SEND, FE or workplace setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and inclusive practice.
• Ability to work flexibly, use initiative and manage time well.
• Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Support learners before, during and after work placements and internships.
• Work with employers to ensure placements are inclusive, supportive and meaningful.
• Help learners develop workplace skills and confidence.
• Assist with CVs, interview prep, travel training and workplace visits.
• Match learners to placements through job analysis and employer engagement.
• Provide progress reports and maintain records.
• Liaise with parents/carers, tutors, employers and external agencies.
