Job summary

Porterhouse Recruitment is recruiting for a Junior Production Manager to join an established manufacturer of uPVC windows and doors based in Braintree, Essex. The role suits someone with hands-on experience in fabrication and a path toward production management.

You will oversee daily production, coordinate the team, and work on improving processes while developing knowledge in estimating and planning within the business.

Qualifications

• Previous window and door fabrication experience, ideally within uPVC manufacturing.
• Applications may also be considered from experienced aluminium fabricators with transferable supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, machinery and quality standards.
• Previous experience supervising or supporting a factory team would be advantageous.
• Able to read and interpret fabrication or production information.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicating with colleagues at all levels.
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to take responsibility.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for a Junior Production Manager to join an established manufacturer of uPVC windows and doors based in Braintree.

This position would suit an experienced window and door fabricator, senior fabricator or factory supervisor who is ready to take on more responsibility and develop their career within production management.

The successful candidate will support and oversee the day-to-day operation of the factory, ensuring production is completed safely, efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards. This will initially be a hands-on position, working closely with the fabrication team while developing a wider understanding of production planning and the company’s operational activities.
