Job summary

Quartzelec is seeking an experienced JIB-Approved Electrician to support electrical installation, maintenance and testing across commercial and NHS projects in Leeds. You will work closely with the Electrical Site Manager and site teams to deliver high-quality electrical work safely and in accordance with drawings, project specs and BS 7671.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition (BS 7671), City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, and a minimum of five years in an approved electrical

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• 18th Edition BS 7671 required.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an approved electrical role.
• Experience in commercial/industrial/construction environments and NHS settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing to a high standard.
• Install containment systems (cable tray, trunking, ladder, conduits).
• Install ELV & LV cabling networks (SWA’s, PVC singles, data, Belden’s, multicore).
• Terminate and connect electrical equipment and distribution systems.
• Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and project specs.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced JIB-Approved Electrician to join our team and support the delivery of electrical installation, maintenance and testing works across a range of commercial and NHS projects.

Working closely with the electrical Site Manager and site teams, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical work safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, drawings and current regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing works to a high standard.
• Install containment systems including cable tray, trunkings, ladder and conduits.
• Install ELV & LV cabling networks (SWA’s, PVC singles, F/A, Data, Belden’s & Multi cores)
• Install, terminate and connect electrical equipment, accessories and distribution systems.
• Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics and project specifications.
• Recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – BS 7671.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Approved electrical role.
• Proven experience within commercial, industrial or construction environments.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
• Experience working within NHS or healthcare environments.
• Experience with larger commercial electrical installations.
• Familiarity with Guidance Note 3 and inspection and testing requirements.
• Work across established commercial and NHS frameworks.
