Free-Work in Central London is looking for a Javascript Front End Developer to help shape the future of payments across platforms and devices. You’ll work in an agile, collaborative environment as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering clean, robust UI components.

You will partner with Front-End and Back-End developers, designers and architects to ensure a seamless online checkout experience for millions of shoppers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Strong vanilla JavaScript skills and clean, testable code.
• Experience with some JS frameworks (Angular, Backbone).
• Understanding of full web stack.
• Proficiency with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS) and HTML5.
• Knowledge of server-side languages (PHP, NodeJS).
• Experience with client/server testing frameworks (Mocha, Jasmine).
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Create intuitive, robust, reusable UIs using Vanilla JS.
• Build cross-platform, cross-browser, responsive HTML5/CSS3.
• Engage in the full product development cycle to understand business objectives and user goals.
• Produce high-quality solutions to enhance or simplify existing processes.
• Work with designers to promote brand and interface guidelines.
• Mentor junior team members.

The role is uniquely positioned to be deeply involved in the entire product lifecycle, working side by side with Front-End & Back-End Developers, Architects and Designers towards a common goal: provide millions of online shoppers worldwide with the best possible payment experience.

The ideal candidate must live and breathe agile and firmly believe in creating clean, testable code.

Key Responsibilities

Create intuitive, robust, and reusable user interfaces using Vanilla JS Build cross platform, cross browser, responsive HTML5 and CSS3 Engage in the entire product development cycle to understand business objectives and user goals, and ensure solutions offer true value to our customers Produce high quality solutions that will enhance or simplify existing processes

Work with designers to promote brand and interface guidelines Encourage the use of best practices and workflows throughout the organization Contribute to team discussions and stand-ups

Skills & Experience

Excellent JavaScript (Vanilla) with code patterns

Good knowledge of some JS frameworks (e.g. Angular, Backbone)

Complete understanding of the full web stack

Solid knowledge of CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS) and HTML5

Knowledge of some server side languages (e.g. PHP, NodeJS)

Knowledge of some client / server testing framework (e.g. Mocha, Jasmine, JUnit) Bilingual English and JavaScript

Salary will be in the range £40K to £60K Per Annum.
