Job summary

CV Screen is recruiting for a Frontend Application Engineer to join an established international organisation in London. You will own day-to-day development of an internal suite of applications built with HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, complemented by Node.js, REST APIs and Azure deployments.

You will work on complex authenticated apps, with opportunities to apply AI-powered features and integrate LLM APIs, while gaining broad exposure to frontend, backend, cloud and AI development.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, including complex client-side application logic.
• Experience with Node.js, REST APIs and SQL, ideally alongside Azure App Service and Azure DevOps.
• Extensive use of AI development tools and experience integrating LLM APIs into user-facing applications.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve business-critical web applications used across the organisation.
• Diagnose production issues, identify root causes and implement durable fixes.
• Build new features using HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript.
• Debug and extend Node.js and Express APIs and write T-SQL queries.

Frontend Application Engineer

Introduction

CV Screen is recruiting for a Frontend Application Engineer to join an established international organisation. You will take day-to-day responsibility for a suite of internally developed business applications used by hundreds of employees.

This is not a conventional frontend position focused on websites or framework-led development. You’ll work with complex, authenticated applications built primarily using HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, alongside Node.js, SQL and Azure. The role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to build user-facing functionality powered by AI.

Duties & Responsibilities
