Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Frontend Developer to join on-site in London for a 12-month initial contract inside IR35. You will design, implement, and optimise user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript within a financial services environment, collaborating with cross-functional delivery teams.

You will work with NgRx for state management, RxJS streams, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while writing tests with Jasmine, Karma, Jest, or Cypress and focusing on performance and accessibility.

Role Overview

A skilled Frontend Developer with deep proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Angular. The position is responsible for designing, developing, and optimising user-centric web interfaces within a financial services environment, working as part of a cross-functional delivery team. The role spans the full development life cycle from requirements analysis through to production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop UI components using Angular, React, or Vue, implementing modular, component-based architecture with strong TypeScript proficiency.
• Implement and manage application state using NgRx, including Store, Effects, and Selectors patterns.
• Use RxJS and reactive programming techniques to manage asynchronous data streams across the application.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Jasmine, Karma, Jest, or Cypress, integrated within CI/CD workflows.
• Optimise web application performance using techniques including lazy loading, AOT compilation, and code splitting, while collaborating closely with users and cross-functional teams to ensure interfaces are fit for purpose.
