SilverRail is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Agile engineering team in the UK. You will design and maintain scalable applications that drive seamless travel booking experiences. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment focused on sustainability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of software development experience, strong skills in Java and Spring frameworks, and an interest in building impactful technologies for greener travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with Hibernate and relational databases like MySQL.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) delivery environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements to design scalable software solutions.
• Build and maintain modern APIs and backend services focused on reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code aligned with engineering best practices.
• Contribute to application and service architecture, supporting modular design.
• Develop and execute tests to ensure software quality.
