Job summary

Nomura in London is seeking a Software Engineer - Prime Technology to join the Global Markets IT team. This role sits within the Equities IT function supporting Prime Brokerage, with responsibility for designing, building and maintaining core platform components in Java.

You will work in a hybrid London environment, contribute to automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline, and collaborate with analysts, production support and global engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions for

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on software development experience in Java in an agile environment.
• Experience with test-driven development and pipeline-integrated test automation.
• Exposure to databases and messaging systems, with quick tool adoption.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and observability/monitoring tooling.
• Willingness to production support and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain platform components in Java.
