Job summary

HOK Consulting is assisting a client in Sheffield to hire an experienced Java Developer for a long-term contract. The role focuses on modernising and re-platforming an enterprise application, requiring strong Java 11+ expertise and hands-on work with REST APIs and microservices.

You will work in a hybrid environment (approximately 2 days in the office) and collaborate within an Agile CI/CD setting, including peer reviews and automated testing. Neo4j experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Java 11+.
• Experience building microservices and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Neo4j or other graph databases.
• Experience upgrading dependencies and addressing security vulnerabilities.
