Job summary

Response Informatics Limited is hiring a Java Software Engineer in Belfast, UK, for a 6‑month contract Inside IR35. The role is onsite five days a week at the end customer’s office in Belfast, working on backend services and cloud-enabled modernization of a large-scale, containerized email security platform.

You will develop Java and Perl components as needed, design APIs, and contribute to data ingestion pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java with backend focus.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and deployment workflows.
• Experience with distributed or stateful cloud-native systems.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestrators.
• Familiarity with event-driven messaging patterns or real-time streaming data processing.
• Familiarity with caching or data stores (e.g., Redis).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Role: Software Engineer Java

Location: Belfast, UK (5 days/ week onsite)

Positions: 6 Months Contract Inside IR35
