Job summary

Citi in Belfast is seeking a Java Developer with Kotlin to join Prime Brokerage Technology. You will own and develop core components of our Prime Brokerage platform using Java and Kotlin, and provide technical leadership to an agile team.

The role emphasizes quality, SDLC, DevOps, and collaboration with business stakeholders. You will translate complex requirements, help drive architecture decisions, and contribute to production support and system reliability. Hybrid work up to 2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Java and TDD are essential for this role.
• Experience with a mix of additional technologies is a plus.
• Strong in software development and agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop core components for the Prime Brokerage platform using Java/Kotlin.
• Provide technical leadership to an agile team, mentoring developers and establishing best practices for coding, testing, and CI/CD.
• Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement in SDLC and DevOps, using metrics like DORA.
• Lead system architecture, design and estimation discussions with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Oversee documentation, risk mitigation, and production support for improved performance and reliability.
