Java Full Stack Developer (Broker Dealer / Capital Markets)

Join Capgemini’s Financial Services Business Unit within the Cloud & Custom Applications (C&CA) practice, where we Consult with Purpose. Continuously Evolve. Architect Tomorrow. We are seeking a talented Java Full Stack Developer to help deliver scalable, business-critical solutions for Broker Dealer and Capital Markets clients. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering client outcomes. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to build modern, secure, and resilient applications while contributing to a future-ready, AI-fluent engineering culture that drives meaningful business value.

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that support critical business processes within Broker Dealer and Capital Markets environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and delivery colleagues to translate requirements into effective outcomes.
  • Design and develop reliable services and user experiences that meet performance, usability, and business objectives.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards, and design reviews to drive consistency and quality.
  • Improve application performance, resilience, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
  • Embed security, risk awareness, and regulatory considerations throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Produce clear and maintainable technical documentation that supports long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues while contributing to continuous service improvement.
  • Promote engineering best practices, automation, and modern software delivery approaches.
  • Support team capability growth by sharing knowledge, embracing innovation, and leveraging AI-assisted ways of working where appropriate.
Must-Have Skills
  • Proven experience delivering full stack software solutions in Broker Dealer, Capital Markets, or Financial Services environments.
  • Strong hands‑on development experience using Java (8/11/17+) and Python.
  • Experience building enterprise‑grade distributed applications using microservices and API‑led architectures.
  • Strong understanding of event‑driven design and messaging‑based integration patterns.
  • Experience developing modern web applications and responsive user interfaces.
  • Expertise in software engineering best practices, object‑oriented design, data structures, and concurrent programming.
  • Strong understanding of application security, data protection, and quality engineering principles.
  • Experience working with relational databases and data modelling concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in agile, collaborative, and client‑facing environments.
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate, and JPA.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience using Maven, Gradle, and Git.
  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, and Selenium.
  • Understanding of banking regulatory compliance requirements and secure software delivery practices.
